There Is No Middle Ground Here, Sir

How easy it is for people like Obama, people who have no conscience, to say things like this:
Obama calls for understanding in Notre Dame speech
By Julie Pace, Associated Press

South Bend, Ind. (AP) - President Barack Obama strode head-on Sunday into the stormy abortion debate and told graduates at America's leading Roman Catholic university that both sides must stop demonizing one another.

Obama acknowledged that "no matter how much we want to fudge it ... the fact is that at some level, the views of the two camps are irreconcilable." But he still implored the University of Notre Dame's graduating class and all in the U.S. to stop "reducing those with differing views to caricature. Open hearts. Open minds. Fair-minded words. It's a way of life that always has been the Notre Dame tradition." [link]
"Open minds."

The thirty million American children slaughtered in this country's abortion mills over the last thirty years by "open-minded" friends of Obama were unavailable for comment.

Can you cite your source for the 30 million fetus' aborted in 30 years figure?

It comes from liberal Washington Post columnist Ellen Goodman.

Go to:

http://www.boston.com/news/globe/editorial_opinion/oped/articles/2006/01/13/is_roe_v_wade_already_collapsing/

Estimates range as high as 50 million (I can source that, if you like).

If you're going to argue that there have only been 25,259,133 babies slaughtered here in America, knock yourself out.

I did ya one better Jerry, although you may not like the source,

http://www.guttmacher.org/pubs/2006/08/03/ab_incidence.pdf

"From 1973 through 2003, more than 43 million legal abortions occurred in the United States." Which is 3 million less than all the abortions performed in the world each and every year...

At least they were safe means of aborting a fetus, unlike the conditions in other countries.

The sad part is that there are no research groups on your side of the fence that could be trusted to give us accurate counts of abortions. Why is that?

Your source is an answer to your question. The Guttmacher Institute is the research arm of Planned Parenthood. One does the aborting. The other provides the data. Are those data accurate? We don't know. It's a very restrictive group when it comes to the dissemination of information.

As for my side having accurate numbers, to whom should we turn? The government? They get their information from ... the Guttmacher Institute and refuse to ask questions beyond that which you cite. NOBODY investigates Planned Parenthood, unless an abortion is botched and a child mistakenly lives.

I'd just as soon not keep a running tally, anyway. The body count would be absolutely heartbreaking.

Suffice it to say, there are, as we speak, many children's lives being ended as we debate the issue as to whether they are human beings or not.

It's such a shame. In the USA, 2009.

Gosh, I guess our resident racist (hunter) is proud to get his statistics from an organization associated with Planned Parenthood founded by a super racist primarily for the eradication of defective people. Wasn't it dear ole Margie Sanger who said: "birth control must lead ultimately to a cleaner race" and "....We don't want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population". I'm sure Guttmacher statistics are much more reliable than those coming from people who won't tolerate baby murder. One abortion is too damn many. Even Der First American Fuhrer, Obama-ayers, admits it is wrong otherwise he wouldn't favor fewer of them.

No doubt all those fetuses, as you like to call them, are so appreciative that their chance at life was taken in a 'safer' manner.

Dickensonian,

What is your plan to reduce abortions? Abstinence? That doesn't even work in your own political party, so how do plan to make it work everywhere?

Nice deflection of my post Drew. You expect me to play along?

Well it would be nice to have a new idea from your side of the aisle, besides the idea of just eliminating access to safe abortions.

You and I both know that abortions will go on even if they are made illegal, so can you give me a better solution than the one we have now?
