Liberal Republicans Sicken Me

Tell me, if Delaware's Mike Castle (a liberal Republican by any reasonable person's standards) had made it to the general election and had been beaten by his equally liberal Democratic challenger, would Castle have been gracious in defeat and announced his support for his opponent?

Of course he would have.

But what happens when the liberal Castle loses to a fellow Republican who happens to be conservative?

Says a lot about the state of the Republican Party in Washington.  It's no wonder its members are being driven from office one by one by We the People.

Keep voting for these tea baggers and you Conservatives/Republicans/or whatever you are will squander your cyclical opportunity to take the Senate.

Yeah, we can always tell someone has our best interests at heart when they call us a sexually obscene epithet like "teabaggers."

Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don’t stand in the doorway
Don’t block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There’s a battle outside
And it is ragin’
It’ll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin’.

I'm sure Bob Dylan had radical tea bagging conservatives in mind when he sand that one.

It's the dawning of a new age, dude. You'd do well to get your arms around the change that is sweeping the land.

Or be condescending like your compatriots in Washington and watch in wonder your world crumble around you.

Castle is a poor looser and cares not about the country. He cares just about himself.

Speaking of tea baggers (a term I that offends me), I cannot wait for some democrat to announce the burning of tea bags in public, to see if the Tea Party will threaten an uprising...

The genius of Dylan makes him write songs that are timeless. If you think you own their meaning -- wait a few years.

Here's another one for you Drew, covered by the Byrds. It's called "My Back Pages."

A self-ordained professor’s tongue
Too serious to fool
Spouted out that liberty
Is just equality in school.
“Equality,” I spoke the word
As if a wedding vow.
Ah, but I was so much older then
I’m younger than that now.

But Castle spoke to O'Dumbo and Slo Joe after the loss. Wonder what his real bosses offered him to try and stop an O'Donnell win in Nov. Criminals of a feather flock togather, quite often in prison.

Bob Dylan may or may not be a Republican. He has stated the he is not a Democrat or, at least, wasn't when he wrote "Blowing in the Wind."

What we need now are some Arlo Guthrie tunes. HE's a registered Republican.
