The Insular World of Academe

I read the comments made by Virginia Tech professors in this Collegiate Times article and shake my head in wonder.  Do they actually consider themselves to be above the law?  Do they truly believe that "academic freedom" shields them from investigation of legal wrongdoing?

Seems so.

Seems too that they live in a fantasy world.

Seems misguided beyond belief.

Seems they need to remember who pays their paycheck.

And what planet they live on.

Something To Look Forward To

Okay, this isn't fun:

"If you thought deficits and unemployment have been bad lately, you ain't seen nothing yet."

Good grief.

Remember November

On election day, expel all those who have done our country grievous harm:

Wear it proudly.

'Obama At The Bat'

This is cute.   And really well done:

"Somewhere our troops are laughing, and somewhere Glenn Beck will shout. But there is no joy in Congress. Obama has struck out."
