I thought you might be interested in this. It's a list of utilities around Virginia and a rate comparison (based on 1000 kilowatts of usage) compiled by the office of the attorney general. As you can see, some are higher than yours, some are lower.

Face it, raising these even higher is the only way to ween Americans off the fossil fuel that is killing our planet.
To Anonymous .... pants on fire.
SuzyQ
You must be the same anonymous who thinks we need to starve people in order to "save the planet."
Why don't you do yourself a favor and go first, tough guy.
Hey Anon,
How's that walking everywhere, working out for you?
Oh, you own a vehicle?
Never mind then.
That there Volt (heavily subsidized to save the planet) uses a lot of that stuff generated by heavily (and soon to be more heavily) taxed coal, anon. That corn bread you won't be having on your table is better utilized by a car? I'd advise you to eat more fish but America's fishing fleet ain't allowed to fish. BTW, how are we Americans going to save the planet while the Chinks and Indians are using more and more of that planet-killing fossil fuel? Water would put out those pants if it's not being used to grow more corn to burn in your car.
