Stuck On Stupid

What do you do when you have the most restrictive gun control laws on the planet and your streets are overrun with gun-toting, lawbreaking thugs?  Call for even more restrictions that'll be ignored by the lawless or arm the law-abiding?

We're talking New York City.  Where 47 people were shot last weekend.

And where there's a mayor who's oblivious to the fact that he can write laws until the end of time and they too will be ignored.  Thus, Mayor Bloomberg:
At the Christian Cultural Center in Brooklyn Sunday morning, Mayor Bloomberg spoke out against the incidents over the weekend, which at that point was at 25.

"There are just too many guns on the streets and we have to do something about it," he said, and urged for more federal control and stricter gun control laws across the country.
Sad.  So sad.
