Did Anyone Think This Was Really Going To Work?

Why did Congress agree to abdicate its budgeting responsibility and hand it over to that hokey "supercommittee" again?

Oh, yeah.

To reach bipartisan consensus.

So much for that horse crap:

House Democrats warn supercommittee against cuts

Add to the Democrats' refusal to cut anything meaningful the Republicans' vow to allow no tax increases to come out of the supercommittee and ... we're right back where we started.

Only good thing? Obama, for a few months anyway, doesn't have to pretend that he's actually concerned about federal debt.

That, however, just like Congressional gridlock, ain't goin' away.

Prepare for A SUPERSUPERCOMMITTEE to soon be formed.

Good grief.
