Environmentalists Are Such Goofy Creatures

Remember this op/ed in the Roanoke Times from several months ago having to do with that proposed oil pipeline that would run from Canada to refineries in the U.S.?
The proposed 1,700-mile Keystone XL pipeline would connect the tar sands of Alberta, Canada, with the refineries of southern Texas, thereby being a bullet line from Alberta to the Gulf Coast. It would carry dirty tar sands oil from Canada's Boreal forest to Texas, all the while fueling global warming, threatening drinking water for millions of Americans and driving more destruction of songbird and wildlife habitat.

Not only would this pipeline destroy Canada's boreal forest and wetlands, decimate songbird populations, massively increase global warming pollution and threaten America's drinking water supplies, it would also seriously undermine the U.S. commitment to a clean energy economy.
Gosh. Do we really want an oil pipeline running through the country?

I say, NO WAY.

You say there is a pipeline in place already?

Uh, what?

You say there are hundreds of pipelines running through the U.S. today?

By golly, there are:

Good grief.

So what's this idiot environmentalist whining about?

Hat tip to John Mauldin.
