Hollywood Wins. System of Justice Loses.

Folks, when it comes to defending your home, your hearth, your loved ones, you're on your own.  Expect little help from our putrefied system of justice.

This is shameful:
Justice delayed, justice denied: Death penalty for Mumia dropped
By Michelle Malkin

1980s Death Row cop-killer Mumia abu Jamal, darling of Hollyweird and the progressive Left, will live out the rest of his natural life. Prosecutors announced today that they will no longer pursue the death penalty:

“The decision by District Attorney Seth Williams, made with the support of the officer’s widow and the city police commissioner, comes after nearly 30 years of legal battles over the racially charged case.

Abu-Jamal was convicted of fatally shooting Philadelphia police Officer Daniel Faulkner on Dec. 9, 1981. He was sentenced to death after his trial the following year.

Abu-Jamal, who has been incarcerated in a Pennsylvania prison, has garnered worldwide support from those who believe he was the victim of a biased justice system.

This Friday marks the 30th anniversary of the murder of Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner.

Justice delayed for three decades. Justice denied. Tragedy compounding tragedy. [link]
It might be mentioned that this asshole confessed to the crime the evening it was committed.  A small matter, I know.

In truth, the crime committed hasn't been the issue in this sordid tale for many years.  It's about race.  Hollywood couldn't get past the murderer's skin color and dreadlocks.  In the warped worldview of those in fantasyland, he was an innocent man being persecuted by a biased system because he was black and had that Bob Marley thing going on.  Oh, and he dabbled in Black Pantherism.

How cool is that.

Evidence be damned.  Confession be damned.  The system be damned.

According to District Attorney Seth Williams, Mumia abu Jamal will "remain behind bars for the rest of his life." Don't expect that to happen either. He'll soon be walking the streets again.

And have a Merry Christmas.

Moral of the story?  You're on your own. Act appropriately. No one else in this messed-up land will be there for you when people given immunity from the law come knocking.
