What Have I Been Saying For At Least Three Years?

The recession - or moribund economic progression - that we've been dealing with since George W. Bush left office is like no other this country has ever dealt with.  Millions of jobs have been lost (which is not a first) and, this time, may never return (which is).

I'm not alone in thinking this:

If we are going to "fix" the economy this time, we are going to need to make sweeping changes to the way we do things. And I don't see Washington letting us do that.

So expect this awful situation to remain awful.

Until someone with strength of character and a big ax comes along ...
