Intruder Alert!

"Weapons designed for war have no place on the streets of a civilized society. The time has come for common sense laws to stop the proliferation of military-style assault weapons, while protecting the rights of law-abiding citizens who use guns for hunting, household defense, or legitimate recreational purposes."
-- Rabid anti-gun Senator Dianne Feinstein, Democrat, Peoples Republic of California --

Weapons of war?

You must be mistaken. Its a backscratcher, babe.

This is my son-in-law, Lt. Col. Michael Kasprzyk, United States Marine Corps, holding his latest acquisition, a Thompson M1 SBR .45 caliber home protection device. (Uh, make that backscratcher.)

Thinking of breaking and entering?  Colonel Kasprzyk now has thirty reasons to offer up for your consideration as to why that might not be a good idea.  And that's assuming he doesn't present a thirty-first, where he beats you over the head with that bad boy after trying to get you to change your mind with thirty rounds of steaming hot lead and you hadn't gotten the message.

By the way, he's scheduled to be deployed again later this month.  We wish him Godspeed.  Without patriots like Lt. Colonel Michael Kasprzyk "manning the walls" in this hostile and dangerous world, we'd all be in harm's way.

Here's to you, man.  You make us proud.

For those of you who are interested in obtaining a Thompson (or two, one for each hand!) for your very own (and you have up to four months to wait for the thing), go here.  Auto-Ordnance will fix you right up.

Note 1: I've already warned my neighbor that he will be hearing the countryside erupt one day when we take the Thompson to my shooting range and light it up. I just hope I don't wimp out and get set on my ass.

Note 2: I've applied for a 2nd mortgage to pay for the ammunition we'll be expending.

Note 3: To my daughter, a Christmas gift suggestion.

Note 4 to Dianne Feinstein: Lighten up, sweetheart. You know you want one.

Note 5: While I'm bitchslapping Ms. Feinstein, I might direct your attention to this - her biggest claim to fame: "The Assault Weapons Ban: How Silly Was It? (Part One)"  Is she stupid?  Or just ignorant.  You decide.

If only Obama and his fellow leftists would allow them.

See "Jobs in the Pipeline."

Where Once It Was Cause To Cringe

Now it's a laugh line.

So's your mama.

We make progress.

Earth To GOP:

We're broke.

Deal with it.

May I suggest that each of you read up on the early 20th century Imperial Russian Navy?  In its time it was the third largest fleet on the planet.  And, perhaps the most modern.  Its power, some estimated, even rivaled those of France and Britain.

This at a time when Russia couldn't even feed and clothe its populace.

We know how that turned out.

Cuccinelli Upholds the Law

Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli was recently asked by state Senator Emmett Hanger (R-Staunton) for an official ruling on the University of Virginia's policy of banning firearms possession on campus under certain circumstances.  Here's General Cuccinelli's response:
The Honorable Emmett W. Hanger, Jr.
Member, Senate of Virginia
Post Office Box 2
Mount Solon, VA 22843

Dear Senator Hanger:

I am responding to your request for an official advisory opinion in accordance with § 2.2-505 of the Code of Virginia.

Issue Presented

You ask whether a policy of the University of Virginia prohibiting the possession of firearms and ammunition by visitors inside University buildings and hospitals without prior written consent of the University's Chief of Police is legal.

Response

It is my opinion that, under the present state of the law, the University lawfully may promulgate a policy that prohibits persons from openly carrying a firearm in the buildings that are subject to the policy. It is further my opinion that with respect to persons who have a concealed carry permit, because the University adopted a policy rather than a regulation, it has not "otherwise prohibited by law" persons with a concealed carry permit from possessing a handgun, and, therefore, the policies may not be used to prohibit persons with such a permit from carrying a concealed firearm into the buildings covered by the policy.

[the letter then goes into background information and applicable state laws]

Conclusion

Accordingly, I am compelled to conclude that under its policies, the University lawfully may prohibit persons from openly carrying a firearm in the buildings that are subject to the policy. It is further my opinion that with respect to persons who have a concealed carry permit, because the University adopted a policy rather than a regulation, it has not "otherwise prohibited by law" persons with a concealed carry permit from possessing a handgun, and, therefore, the policies may not be used to prohibit persons with such a permit from carrying a concealed firearm onto the buildings covered by the policy.

With kindest regards, I am
Very truly yours,

Kenneth T. Cuccinelli, II
Attorney General

Bill Clinton's a Racist

How else to explain the fact that he sees Republican efforts to "limit same-day voter registration and block some convicted felons from voting and compares them to Jim Crow laws and poll taxes"?

Jim Crow laws and poll taxes were aimed at one group - black Americans.

Does this guy - who every Democrat in this country still thinks is a political genius - think all felons are black?

Obviously.

Bill Clinton.  Democrat.  Genius.

You want him, you got him.
