Armstrong To Pick Up & Move

Just to keep drawing that meager paycheck from the people of Virginia.  Is it the fame?  The glory?  The nice things that will be written by the Roanoke Times?  I just don't get it:
Ward Armstrong chosen to run in new 9th

Rocky Mount -- Democratic party delegates from the newly redrawn 9th District unanimously nominated Ward Armstrong as their candidate for the House of Delegates race.

Thursday night's meeting was a first for the district party, which includes most of Franklin County, all of Patrick County and western Henry County.

Currently, Armstrong serves as the House Minority Leader and represents the 10th District, which includes parts of Martinsville, Henry County and Carroll County and all of Patrick County. He will move from Collinsville to Bassett to run for the new 9th District against Del. Charles Poindexter, R-Franklin County, who has held the seat since 2007.

He's moving to Bassett.  Is it worth it?

I guess so if that's what constitutes your 15 minutes of fame.

Those Grueling Golf Outings Have Worn Him Out

Talk About Clueless

Wonder what is going through Obama's mind as we approach the anniversary marking his third year in office, three years of telling us that things are going to get better, but haven't?

"The sooner we get this done, the sooner that the markets know that the debt limit ceiling will have been raised and that we have a serious plan to deal with our debt and deficit, the sooner that we give our businesses the certainty that will need in order to make additional investments to grow and hire."

It's the debt ceiling.  If only it weren't for that debt ceiling.

He hasn't a clue.

And he's in charge for another year and a half.

Quote of the Day

The Wall Street Journal on the depressing state of the economy:

"President Obama's economic advisers have been leaving one by one to return to private life, and who can blame them. They used the entire Keynesian, liberal playbook to spur economic growth, and this is the result. The intellectual dissonance must be demoralizing."
