Environmentalist Asks. I Answer.

Regarding the wealth of uranium ore that is there for the harvesting in Pittsylvania County, a senior attorney with the radically Luddite Southern Environmental Law Center asks:

"Do we want to manage radioactive waste in perpetuity? Is that the legacy we want for Virginia?"

Virginia responds: Absolutely.

Tsk, Tsk.

The Washington Post frets:

President Obama’s too-rosy vision of postwar Iraq

Not to worry. It was a speech that someone wrote for him. He doesn't believe a word of it and could really care less.

George Allen Cuts To The Chase

He ties Tim Kaine to Barack Obama's tatters:

Short. Smashing.

NY Times: Don't Believe the Hype About The Pipeline

It'll only create 6,500 construction jobs in this country.

And who needs employment anyway.  Those 6,500 souls are eligible for food stamps, after all.

Fitting.  The Times is also big on a guy who has overseen the loss of 1,300,000 jobs in this country over the last three years.

But what are jobs when one considers how wonderful Obama is.

Wisdom For The Ages

Newt Gingrich:

If we’re to be domestically stupid, it’s impractical to ask the Chinese to be just as stupid.”

Impractical because the Chinese would, once again, take a brief moment to chuckle, and then go back to kicking our ass.

We Fear Our Gov't

Telling me, at the point of a gun, that I'm required to buy health insurance will have this effect:

In U.S., Fear of Big Government at Near-Record Level

Reading that the man at the top was, at one time?, an ardent Marxist-Leninist will have that effect.

When Ideology Drives You Over The Edge

Four more years!  Four more years!  Four more years!

Glenn Beck: I’d consider Ron Paul as third party over Newt Gingrich

And if that got Obama reelected for another term - as it most assuredly would - well, Beck showed us!

A Lesson In Government Mandated Innovation

Why does Washington keep doing this?

"When these mandates were established, no companies produced commercially viable cellulosic fuel. But the dream was: If you mandate and subsidize it, someone will build it.

"Guess what? Nobody has."

Price tag for the non-production of this non-fuel? $1.5 billion and climbing.

And Speaking Of 'Gov't' Mandates ...

... the U.N. has decreed that the planet's temperature is to be 2° C. cooler than it is now.

And, therefore, it must be.

So let it be written.  So ... let ... it ... be ... done.

Quote of the Day

Who knows, maybe Newt Gingrich is the right man for the job.  If he gets the rabidly liberal and clinically insane Chris Matthews this worked up:
The Republican Party is about to seal a Faustian deal with the devil. Every observer from left to farthest right knows what's going on here. The Republicans, led by the angriest among them, are about to give away their partisan souls for one all-consuming political purpose, the destruction of Barack Obama. They're about to begin the nomination for President of a figure who represents the Mephistopheles of what they preach. He is nasty, brutal, ready to fight and kill politically, a man of no discernible commitments or values, who has nothing to offer but a sharp-as-hell intellect and a wicked rapier of words. For the right price and a presidential nomination is his [sic], Newt is ready to jump on a dime and hit any opponent where he shows weakness. Why are they on the verge of enlisting in the army of Newt? Because he voices in cold, nasty, deadly tones the words of their contempt, because he's an opportunist ready to seek any route to his opponent's heart and thereby kill it. He's a political killer, a gun for hire. But he offers a price so precious, he cannot be resisted.

I Love This Country

Only in America can a really stupid person rise to the level of Democratic National Committee chairperson.

(Before you get confused by Debbie Wasserman Schultz's babble - and you will - stats are included that reveal that unemployment is much higher now than it was when Obama came into office.)
