The Left Now Trivializes The Word 'Slut'

So why is it okay for a friend of Obama to call Sarah Palin a twat but not okay for Rush Limbaugh to call Sandra Fluke a slut?

According to the man who took $1 million in Obama's name from that friend - and who is not going to give it back under any circumstances -  the difference is this:

"The notion that there's an equivalence between what a comedian has said over the course of his career and what the de facto leader of the Republican Party said to sexually degrade a woman who engaged in an important debate of time is crazy."

Bill Maher is a comedian and Rush Limbaugh is (something he's not).

But wait.  Even that won't fly.

Rush will tell you that he is - first and foremost - an entertainer.   And a darn good one if his daily audience count is any indicator.

So Maher and Limbaugh are in the same business.

To Bill Burton, co-founder of Priorities USA Action, the Super Pac that will not return the million dollars to the former, the same man who has a real - well, professed - problem with the latter ...

... want to come up with a different excuse?

Then there are those of the cunt-acceptance persuasion who see a distinction in the fact that Sandra Fluke is a private citizen and Sarah Palin - the "slut" - is not.  So liberals can call Palin whatever they want with impunity.

A fair point.  Except it's not.

While Fluke may have been a private citizen a month ago, her decision to testify before members of Congress in a filmed hearing changed that.  As she surely expected it to.  And was probably hoping it would.

Private?

Not no more.

I suppose it could be argued that Fluke thought she would remain "a private citizen" and wasn't expecting cameras to be rolling, what with her showing up at the hearing looking like this:

Surely she didn't expect anyone to be looking at her.  Surely.

Ever heard the term "VO5," sweetheart?

Or "hairbrush"?

Or bathtub?

Come to think of it, is her need for assistance in paying for all those contraceptives she intends to use wishful thinking?

Do us all a favor.  Take a shower before you go out in public next time, for God's sake.  And spend a few minutes at the local Fantastic Sams.

Yeesh.

Note: Before anyone criticizes me for picking on this virginal "private citizen," deal with this: A Google search this morning of the words "Sandra Fluke" produces 168,000 hits.  Private?  Try again.
