When The Story Doesn't Fit The Template

It sounded so perfect.  If you're of the kindhearted, magnanimous, open-minded, liberal persuasion.  A distraught lesbian seeking communion after her mother's death is refused by a (detestable, hardhearted, male) priest.  Perfect for the front page of the Washington Post.

So what if the lesbian is Buddhist.

It's still a brutish, uncompassionate, intolerant, male CATHOLIC priest.

Any facts that go beyond that basic story line are irrelevant.

What a weird bunch these liberals are.
