Why Not Free Tampons?

I'm inclined to suggest that there's a nefarious reason behind the Obama administration's call for "free" sterilizations being provided young American women (see "Free Sterilizations Must be Offered to All College Women, Says HHS").  After all, his kind has a track record in such matters.  It was the progressives among us back in the 30's - really smart liberals just like our really smart president - who proposed similar progressive government mandates - intended to rid the world of (a) poor people, (b) stupid people, and (c) Negroes. (Yes, it was considered "progressive" to support the sterilization of (d) all of the above back then by the enlightened among us, until Adolf Hitler adopted their assumptions and propositions and cranked up the gas chambers.)  (See the history of Eugenics.)

But I'm going to give our president the benefit of the doubt and assume that he simply wants to get reelected.  Reelected by giving people free shit.  Particularly "progressive" women who seem to expect free shit being given to them.  See Sandra Fluke.

You may remember her.  She thinks her contraceptives ought to be free.

By gum, The United States government agrees! (see reelection ploy above).

Now that same government wants sterilizations to be free.

I wonder ...

Why not Kotex, Barry?

Not all women use contraception.  And few will want to be sterilized.  But they all use feminine health and hygiene products at some point in their lives.  Make 'em, free, dude!  Win over the female vote!

So what if it is not the role of government to do so.  (See Constitution of the United States of America.)  It gets your skinny, worthless ass reelected.  And that's all that counts.

That, unfortunately, is really all that counts, isn't it?
