In a race to see which publication can garner the fewest readers and, in so winning the contest, go out of business, Time and Newsweek have descended into the world of pulp fiction.
First Time came out with this issue last week, showing a self-absorbed mother subjecting her son to a life of ridicule and torment by forcing him to pose for the cover with his lips attached to her breast:
Now Newsweek, not to be left behind in the race to bankruptcy, has done this:
It's just a matter of time before one or the other goes full-pulp and starts slinging this:
So you know, Spicy Detective went out of business too.
Where once great literary and journalistic minds produced works worthy of the name journal, now they do comics.
It's sad, in a way, to watch the slow - embarrassing - demise of both publications.
