What I Think About On The Anniversary of D-Day

So many Americans answered the call.  So many shed their blood.  So many gave their all.  That this world might be free.

They did well.  They made us proud.  We are eternally grateful.

Most noble thing of all?

They never sought anything for themselves in return.

"We have gone forth from our shores repeatedly over the last hundred years and ... we have asked for nothing except enough ground to bury them in, and otherwise we have returned home ... to live our own lives in peace."
-- Colin Powell --

May God bless and keep them.
