Why We Don't Give An Inch On Gun Rights

If we ease up, we become Australia.

This is, to say the least, bizarre:
Two Guys In a Gun Shop
By Tim Blair, Daily Telegraph

Australian athletes are in trouble for being photographed with firearms:

Swimmers Nick D’Arcy and Kenrick Monk have been ordered to remove Facebook photos of themselves posing with high powered guns

D’Arcy and Monk posed with the weapons in a gun shop in the US where the Australian swimming team has been training and competing before the Olympics start next month.

Legal weapons in a legal shop. Unloaded. Not aimed at anybody. This, for some reason, is causing outrage:

Gun Control Australia spokesman John Crook said it was a new low for the athletes …

“It’s a disgrace to the Olympic swimming team,’’ Mr Crook said.

“I doubt they have the moral sensitivity to be concerned about human suffering.”

The pair return to Australia today:

Controversial swimmers Nick D’Arcy and Kenrick Monk could face sanctions from the Australian Olympic Committee after posting photos of themselves posing with high powered guns. [link]
Both could be punished. For handling "legal weapons in a legal shop, unloaded, not aimed at anybody."

For the love of God.
