Another Millionaire Flees U.S. Taxes

You liberals want to make them bleed?  You want them to pay "pay their fair share" even though they pay far more than their fair share now?

You're going to have to hunt them down and drag them back here first:
Socialite, songwriter Denise Rich renounces U.S. citizenship
By Nina Melendez, CNN

(CNN) -- Wealthy socialite and Grammy-nominated songwriter Denise Rich has renounced her U.S. citizenship and resides in London, her spokeswoman Judy Smith said Tuesday.

By handing in her American passport, tax lawyers say she is able to legally avoid paying significant taxes on her estate. [link]
The irony? Denise Rich was a huge contributor to the Democratic Party. The same Democratic Party that is hell bent on taxing people like Denise Rich until they squeal.

So she - and her tax dollars - are gone forever.

Oops.

Why doesn't this surprise me?  In response to the news that Denise Rich is fleeing a punitive and unbalanced U.S. tax system, (brief) NBC anchor Donny Deutsch had this to say:

"We are a country that is at class warfare [sic] now. It is reality. And this is the kind of thing that if I'm home watching, I go, screw you, get out of my country!"

That "warfare," it seems to me, is going to be rather one-sided when all of America's rich people (the extremely wealthy Deutsch excluded) are gone.

Who you gonna beat up on then, smart guy?
