Biden: We Need Cattle Guard Retraining

I don't know how accurate a story this, that I received via email, is but here it is:
Joe asks for 6 months of retraining for 'Cattle Guards! '

For those of you who have never traveled to the west, or southwest, cattle guards are horizontal steel rails placed at fence openings, in dug-out places, in the roads adjacent to highways (sometimes across highways), to prevent cattle from crossing over that area. For some reason the cattle will not step on the "guards," probably because they fear getting their feet caught between the rails.

The Colorado ranchers had protested his proposed changes in grazing policies, so he ordered the Secretary of the Interior to fire half of the "cattle" guards immediately!

Before the Secretary of the Interior could respond and presumably try to straighten President Obama out on the matter, Vice-President Joe Biden intervened with a request that... before any "cattle" guards were fired, they be given six months of retraining .'Times are hard,' said Joe Biden, 'it's only fair to the cattle guards and their families be given six months of retraining! '
It's worth remembering that our President never set foot on land here in the continental United States until he went to college. That, coupled with the fact that he went right into academe and then to "community organizer" life in Chicago and then to politics, it's quite conceivable that the guy wouldn't know the difference between a cattle guard and a border guard. Just as he doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground.

So there's just enough reality in this spoof to make it work.

Here's to the author.

P.S.  You don't have to go out "west or southwest" to see a cattle guard.  You can come see one here in Bland, Virginia.  I and my neighbor share one.
