You Can't Make This Stuff Up

From the Monroe County Reporter we learn that the man who offered prayer at Barack Obama's 2009 inauguration - Joseph Lowery - regrets all the hatred and bitterness that the current election is bringing out in people.

And so he decides to haul out his own:

"Lowery said that when he was a young militant, he used to say all white folks were going to hell. Then he mellowed and just said most of them were. Now, he said, he is back to where he was.

"'I'm frightened by the level of hatred and bitterness coming out in this election," said Lowery."

Hatred and bitterness.  He knows of that which he speaks.

I hate you for your hatred!

Lowery, so you know, is 91 years old.  So I choose to blame his vile bigotry on senility.

But I could be wrong.
