This Is Painful To Watch

Not that Obama and his mouthpiece don't deserve the ridicule that derives from the moment.  From a simple question: What is the capital of Israel?

Turns out?  It depends on when you ask the question:

If I were this Carney character I'd resign in shame.

My God.

They Flail

James Taranto beat me to the punch.  I was going to make this same point:
Which Is It?

"Mitt Romney as a Young Bully"--headline, Mike Tomasky post, TheDailyBeast.com, May 10
"Mitt Romney's Wimp Factor"--headline, Mike Tomasky article, Newsweek, July 29
He can't be both, big guy.

What next, Mike? Romney's a cross-dresser?

Uh oh ...

Compare And Contrast

You'd think something as simple as this wouldn't make the news.  But we're dealing with Obama and his so-much-smarter-than-the-rest-of-us crowd.  So ...

The simple question that you'd think allowed for a simple answer:

What is the capital of Israel?

Mitt Romney: Jerusalem.

The Obama administration:

"The status of Jerusalem is an issue that should be resolved in final status negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians. We continue to work with the parties to resolve this issue and others in a way that is just and fair, and respects the rights and aspirations of both Israelis and Palestinians."

Somewhere on this planet the government of Israel is headquartered.  But you'd never know it by listening to Obama's gang.  It's still in negotiation.  A decision that awaits the outcome of Iran's detonation of its nuclear bomb just west of the Dead Sea.  When the smoke clears, the radiation subsides, and the bodies are buried, the Obama administration will have an answer to the question, what is the capital of Israel?

Good grief.

Speaking of Wimps

It must be good for a few giggles to be on the receiving end of a tongue-lashing from this guy:

'Soft-Spoken' Harry Reid Curses Out Fellow Democrat

And I'll bet that "Democrat" felt really abused when Roughneck Reid was done with him.

What a noodle.

Associated Press Distortions

And other daily occurrences ...

Does something strike you as misleading about this opening line in an Associated Press dispatch ("NY, NJ lawmakers want ammunition sales restricted") having to do with another attempt on the part of Democrats to restrict the right of the people to purchase ammunition?

"Ten days after the Colorado movie theater massacre, federal lawmakers introduced a bill that would effectively ban people like suspect James Holmes from buying thousands of rounds of ammunition by mail or online."

I'll help you.  It's a complete distortion of the truth.

The bill as introduced by gun banner Charles Schumer would force all sellers of ammunition on line to be licensed and to report all sales transactions that amount to a thousand rounds or more to the government.  Do you see anything in that that has to do with effectively "banning people like suspect James Holmes from buying thousands of rounds of ammunition by mail or online"?

No.

It would be a law that would apply to ALL GUN OWNERS, not just the insane ones.

As usual, the gun banners can't separate out the law-abiding from the lawless.

Not even with the willful and shameful help of the Associated Press.

Shame on all of them.
